Meet Martyn Linton: Visionary Founder and CEO of Evident Solutions Group Ltd
Welcome to my first blog post. Having thought long and hard about what the first post should be I asked some business owners that I know and the overwhelming response was start with yourself.
It was a good suggestion as people do business with people they know and trust and as I start my journey building trust it was a no brainer.
Early Career and Inspiration
Having had a challenging childhood my working life started in the security industry. I worked in roles that included static guarding, door security and some ad hoc close protection work.
I moved into a career in the police service where over a twenty one year period I have been a part of neighbourhood policing teams, response policing and as a detective I worked on local CID, proactive crime squads and for the last few years of my career in the people trafficking and organised immigration crime field.
For several years I have wanted to be a business owner and in 2024 I decided to learn a new skill so I completed City & Guilds courses in energy awareness and advice and providing fuel debt advice in the community.
Policing in the UK has changed massively and I left policing to pursue my long term dream of owning a family business.
Founding Evident Solutions Group Ltd
I made the decision to form Evident Solutions Group Ltd after a short period of time working part time as an energy advisor where I was helping vulnerable people who needed support with a range of energy issues. At the time I was still a serving police officer.
In April 2026 having left the police service I started providing energy advice on a full time basis as a Local Energy Advice Partnership (LEAP) delivery partner and I added an energy and utility broker services. Later after working with a number of business owners I saw the need for them to have access to trusted commercial finance so I trained in commercial finance brokering.
My skills as a detective became of interest and after careful thought I decided that I would put my skills to use by helping insurers and businesses to investigate accidents and to gather and present evidence for legal claims.
The security and policing work taught me that prevention is better than cure. I have been involved in training for some time so I decided that I could use my experience to help businesses reduce the risk of loss by helping them to teach their staff and themselves.
My aim is simple, Helping businesses to grow, recover finance and assets and to prevent loss.
Commitment to Service
At the heart of my business is customer service. You hear this all the time but when I look at who I do business with I do business with those who appreciate me, are well priced and who are trusted. These are values that I bring to my business.
I am always seeking ways to improve and have adopted the approach that my customers and those who do not decide to use my services are my best source of feedback.
I believe in high quality services at good rates that are delivered with speed and efficiency.
Future Vision and Goals
Looking ahead my aim is expand Evident Solutions Group Ltd’s reach and impact.
My goal is to become the most trusted independent provider of commercial finance and loss prevention investigations and training for businesses.
I am willing to work with any business on a no obligation basis and I would love to hear from anyone who would like to have a chat.
